One of the most adaptable animals in the world, the coyote can change its breeding habits, diet and social dynamics to survive in a wide variety of habitats. They can flourish in nearly any habitat from mountain tops to coastal marshes, arctic tundra to Central America’s jungles.  Coyotes have non-specific needs for habitat and food, which means they can live nearly anywhere and survive by eating nearly anything available.  In 1969, coyote populations were confirmed in only about 23 Georgia counties and they now habitat all 159 counties.  Coyotes are thriving at Pope Plantation on rabbits, deer, quail, squirrels, opossums, mice and other rodents.  Come help us control this growing population.  We have hired Jeff Murphy to guide our hunts.  Jeff was recently featured in the June 2011 issue of Georgia Outdoor News Magazine.
